Position: Lawn Care Helper
Pay: Starting at $15/hour (negotiable based on experience)

About Fort Liberty Lawn:
Fort Liberty Lawn is a U.S. veteran-owned lawn care company based in Fayetteville, NC. Since our founding in 2024, we have quickly become the top lawn care provider in the area, offering high-quality service and maintaining a reputation of excellence. We are now expanding our team and seeking a reliable and hard-working Lawn Care Helper to join our crew and assist in performing lawn care duties. U.S. military veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lawn Maintenance Support: Assist the team with mowing, edging, trimming, and other general lawn care tasks.
- Equipment Operation: Operate weed eaters, edgers, hedge trimmers, and other essential equipment to ensure properties are well-maintained.
- Physical Labor: Lift up to 50 lbs of equipment, materials, or debris as necessary.
- Cleanup: Clear grass clippings, debris, and leaves from lawns, sidewalks, patios, and driveways to leave properties looking tidy.
- Assisting with Landscaping: Assist with planting, mulching, trimming shrubs, and other gardening tasks as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines when handling equipment and chemicals.
- Team Support: Assist team members with various tasks and follow instructions to ensure high-quality work is completed efficiently and on time.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that all jobs meet or exceed customer expectations and uphold the standards of Fort Liberty Lawn.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to operate weed eaters, edgers, hedge trimmers, and other landscaping tools.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs safely and comfortably.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to perform a variety of lawn care tasks.
- Punctual, reliable, and capable of working effectively in a team environment.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the company’s home office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous lawn care experience is a plus but not required.
- U.S. military veterans are preferred and highly encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication skills and ability to take direction from supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Team Supervision: Lead and manage 1–2 helpers, ensuring all team members work efficiently and maintain high standards of work.
- Daily Operations: Oversee and execute daily lawn care jobs, meeting both company standards and customer expectations.
- Equipment Oversight: Operate, maintain, and ensure the timely servicing of commercial-grade equipment, including zero-turn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other tools.
- Training and Mentorship: Train team members on equipment use, safety protocols, and techniques to achieve top-quality results.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure all jobs are completed to exceed customer expectations and uphold Fort Liberty Lawn’s reputation.
- Logistics and Planning: Work with the owner to manage schedules, inventory, and equipment needs.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain safety protocols and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience using and maintaining commercial zero-turn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and related lawn care equipment.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to supervise and train a small team.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Clean background check.
- Reliable transportation to and from the company’s home office.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- U.S. military veterans are preferred and highly encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in a lawn care management or supervisory role.
- Familiarity with routing, scheduling, and customer service in the lawn care industry.
